ONE CONNXT Perfects IP Transport For Live Event

Dallas, TX – October 17, 2012 – On October 9, 2012, ONE CONNXT facilitated its historic first live programming transmission between Egypt and Jordan. ONE CONNXT, a proven leader in broadcast delivery, delivered the programming without a glitch for IQRAA, a Middle Eastern channel.

ONE CONNXT, a division of ONE Media Corp Inc., is an end-to-end HD/SD content distribution service that provides high quality live and recorded video programming virtually anywhere in the world with significant savings over satellite or fiber. Via ONE CONNXT, video can be delivered either point to point or point to multipoint utilizing proprietary IP solutions. Unlike other IP solutions, ONE CONNXT has been designed as a more robust and reliable IP system that delivers results comparable to traditional broadcast methods. ONE CONNXT proprietary solutions meet or exceed broadcast standards even in regions of the world that present less than reliable Internet service such as parts of the Middle East.

According to Yanal Abbady, an engineer in Jordan Media City (JMC), “This was our first time using ONE CONNXT for a live transmission between these countries. We didn’t know what to expect. JMC engineers worked with the ONE CONNXT team, and the engineering team in Cairo, for hours before the broadcast to make sure we got the best glitch free results. I’m happy to say that we were successful.”

“ONE CONNXT gives the IQRAA team a strategic advantage in the marketplace and allows them lower delivery cost and increased distribution abilities while maintaining high quality and reliability.” said Paul Dingwitz, Chief Technology Officer ONE Media Corp, the parent company of ONE CONNXT. “It was created by broadcasters at ONE Media Corp to deliver our own programming at a reduced cost around the world. We then made the technology available to other broadcasters. As a result, we designed a system to the higher quality and reliability standards of broadcast television, rather than the lower quality IP standards. It’s IP with a twist, IP transport perfected and guaranteed to work well even when the local Internet isn’t optimum.”

ONE CONNXT Cloud Services Platform Simplifies Content Distribution

Dallas, TX – October 9, 2012 – ONE CONNXT, a proven leader in broadcast delivery, has been praised for its new cloud services demonstration following the 2012 IBC in Amsterdam.

ONE CONNXT’s cloud service is a virtual storage system for content that allows regional time shifting and anytime playback. Only one decoder is necessary as the cloud allows clients to simplify their operations to a single centralized management console. The console is used to record content for later use in ONE CONNXT’s secure cloud based environment. The console’s centralized administration real-time scheduling interface is then used to schedule resources to play out accordingly in different time zones. Metadata fields are available for customized content identification.

IBC attendees were given a full demonstration of ONE CONNXT cloud services capabilities. ONE CONNXT held broad appeal for a variety of broadcast entities. Veteran broadcasters from around the world representing satellite operators, television channels, play out centers, television consultants, production houses and more attended the demonstration. They showed extreme interest in ONE CONNXT after they saw it in action as ONE CONNXT pulled live feeds from its sister company ONE World Sports in Singapore and client Arab Radio & Television (ART) in Jordan’s Media Center into the cloud. The broadcasters were then shown how easy it was to schedule content distribution through the cloud administrative interface.

“While we knew that ONE CONNXT would be using our feed in their demo, it was our first time seeing the ONE CONNXT cloud in action,” according to Mustafa Tell, GM of Broadcast Operations at ART. “It takes a versatile product and makes it even easier to use. It will be much simpler to distribute content across time zones with fewer expensive equipment needs.”

“The cloud is a huge advancement in technology for the broadcast industry,” said Dave Almstead, CEO ONE Media Corp, the parent company of ONE CONNXT. “Until now, broadcasters had to spend a lot of money and manpower to move content across time zones. ONE CONNXT’s cloud services eliminate duplication in equipment needs and streamline the process. ONE CONNXT and the cloud provide total stability for your current network, with complete flexibility for all platforms, Whether you are sending a live feed from a sporting event, backing up your entire network, or simply sending service from a hard to reach location, ONE CONNXT always has you covered.”

ONE CONNXT, a division of ONE Media Corp Inc. is an end-to-end HD/SD content distribution service that provides high quality live and prerecorded video programing virtually anywhere in the world with significant savings over satellite or fiber. ONE CONNXT Lands in South Asia

Dallas, TX – August 9, 2012
ONE CONNXT, the leader in IP-based broadcast video delivery, today announced an agreement with Lanka Vision. ONE CONNXT will be used to bring content from Sri Lanka to the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Lanka Vision pioneered the introduction of Sri Lankan mainstream television via satellite in 2004. Since 2009, Lanka Vision has used satellite to telecast Sri Lanka’s top entertainment channel “TV Derana” to Australian and New Zealand viewers free of charge. TV Derana is Sri Lanka’s leading television station for reality programs, news and current affairs. ” ONE CONNXT will be replacing satellite to deliver TV Derana to Australia and New Zealand as well as adding broadcasting to North America. We are planning to expand with additional television and radio stations that will utilize ONE CONNXT technology in the near future” said Kit Karunaratne, co-founder of Lanka Vision and Managing Director of Yasiru Multimedia Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia.

Sri Lanka and the South Asian subcontinent have relied heavily on expensive satellite solutions until now. When Lanka Vision realized that it needed a more cost effective solution in its pursuit to expand overseas distribution it began to investigate broadband technology. ONE CONNXT met Lanka Vision’s criteria not only for cost, but also for its broadcast quality and reliability. It also had proven its ability to deliver high quality programming through its use in top sporting events including the Emirates Australian Open 2011 and the French Open 2012.

“TV Derana has always believed in using new technology as the way forward,” said Madhawa Madawala, Executive Director of TV Derana. ” However, we must protect our core values. We are very conscious about quality. We want to enhance our viewer’s quality of life with good interactive and entertainment programming. ONE CONNXT helps us to bring our programming to more viewers while maintaining the quality that they have come to expect from TV Derana. ”

Mark Lobwein, head of sales for ONE CONNXT stated, “With video content sometimes being difficult to move out of location in South Asia, the ONE CONNXT solution is the perfect answer for broadcasters wishing to reach the world quickly and cost effectively without sacrificing quality of service.”

Dave Almstead, CEO ONE Media Corp, the parent company of ONE CONNXT added, “ONE CONNXT is very pleased to be extending its reach to South Asia. This is a highly populated part of the world with many broadcasters and great opportunity for near term growth.”
