The Volvo Ocean Race

DALLAS, TX – May, 2012 – The Volvo Ocean Race is one of the world’s most prestigious and grueling yacht races. It is held once every three years and lasts for nine months. This year’s race started in Alicante, Spain in October 2011 and will finish in Galway, Ireland in July 2012. Six teams with eleven crewmembers each will face the challenges of ocean racing over a course that spans 39,000 nautical miles.
